North Franklin Street begins in the city center of Greenfield, stretching farther north and luring explorers to discover new places and views. If you follow the lead of the street, you will not regret it! The well-shaded and roomy area of Beckenholdt Park will be your reward for your curiosity. This is a public park with walking trails and a pet-friendly extension that local pups pawsitively love – Rover’s Run Dog Park. The dog park is fenced in and boasts all the necessary amenities for a comfortable time. Benches, drinking water, shade, and trees are available to members of the park. The pass can be obtained online or on-site. You and Fido will have a ball here! A tennis ball, that is.

Downtown Beech Grove
Looking for more pet-friendly places or parks? Head to Beech Grove, a secluded city in Marion County, Indiana. The downtown area is centered near Albany Street, which is home to a few businesses and some residential quarters. Along the way, you will find a few cafes and convenience stores, as well as Sarah T. Bilton Park, a public park set on Lick Creek with a pet-friendly extension for active furry friends tired of walking on-leash. Paw Patch Dog Park is a well-maintained and beautiful park featuring a fence, plenty of room to run, comfortable seating, and drinking water fountains for dogs. The place is rather popular; however, you'll need to obtain a permit to visit.

Broad Ripple
Broad Ripple is one of the northern Indianapolis neighborhoods hugging White River. This is a place with flourishing nightlife, a laid-back atmosphere, and an intoxicating, free-spirited vibe. There are two amazing places you can visit with Fido to enjoy the outdoors and satisfy your craving for adventure. Monon Rail Trail attracts plenty of visitors daily, including joggers, cyclists, and dog walkers circling between Guilford Avenue and Westfield Boulevard. Or, you can have some off-leash fun in Broad Ripple Dog Park at Broad Ripple Avenue. This is an immensely popular dog park with a solid fence, an expansive grassy area, and plenty of shade trees and benches. A pass is required for visiting.

Spring Mill Heights
Resting on the western bank of White River, Spring Mill Heights is a small Indianapolis neighborhood bordered by Holliday Park to the east. This friendly community features residential quarters and a few convenience stores. Holliday Park is the pawfect place to take a morning stroll with your pooch, or perhaps an evening walk after work. Even though it is not a dog park, you will have lots of fun with your fur baby enjoying the beautiful scenery of the wooded area here. The trails run through the forest and along the water. Fido will love dipping his paws in the creek that runs through the park!

East 63rd Street
East 63rd Street stretches between Fort Harrison State Park and the Oaklandon neighborhood, offering a peaceful and scenic ride through the northeastern outskirts of Indianapolis. Follow along the road to find a natural hidden gem and one of the local favorite places among local dog owners – Wagging Tails Bark Park at Louis J. Jenn Memorial Park. This is a membership-only park, but non-residents are welcome to obtain a permit as well. You and Spot are sure to have a furrific time running, playing, and sniffing out some new canine pals here. The park also has benches, shade, and a double-faucet water fountain designed for pups and humans.
