Get there early, as there’s only one outdoor table available for you and your pup, but it’s well worth the trouble! The Village House offers a broad selection of delightful roasts, with an array of flavors and your usual coffee shop offerings like cappuccinos and lattes. There are also a number of baked goods to choose from, so you’ll definitely be starting your day off right.

Iroquois

Next, you’ll need to cross state lines to the nearby Louisville, Kentucky. It’s a little bit of a ride, but your pup will be thrilled with the trip, and it’ll be well worth it. In Iroquois, a small neighborhood in Louisville, you’ll find the pristine Iroquois Park, a lovely locale where you’re free to bring your leashed pup for a nice walk alongside their master. With the beautiful scenery, this location can’t be missed. Just be prepared to clean up after your pup, and bring some doggy waste bags along for the trip. Water will be good to have as well!

Highlands

Pitter patter your pup’s paws on to Highlands, another stunning neighborhood in the greater Louisville area. If you’re looking for the perfect thing to commemorate your outing, stop in at Dirty Tease, a local t-shirt printing shop that will make you a custom shirt while you and your pup wait. Your doggy can enjoy a good time with the shop owners’ dogs, who are more than willing to share their space with a new friend. Bring plenty of treats for your buddy to share with their new friends, and be prepared to clean up any messy mishaps that may happen!

Arctic Springs

Now, if you’re wanting to burn some excess energy with your pup, take them down to Arctic Springs, where you’ll find Champion’s Dog Run, the perfect place to blow off some steam. Located in Greater Champion’s Park, this 3.6-acre dog park features two separate fenced areas for small dogs, and the other is for general dog use. There is water available for canines and humans alike, and plenty of shady spots for you and Fido to relax and enjoy the warm, sunny day. Just be sure to bring plenty of doggy waste bags to clean up any messes!

Downtown

Last but not least, stop in at Downtown Louisville, and end your doggy day trip on the best note possible. Bring your pup to Against the Grain, a pub with fifteen craft beers to choose from, as well as a wide selection of general pub fare. Your pup will be welcome at any of the outdoor tables, and take the opportunity to watch the sun set while you and your dog enjoy your moment in paradise. Bring plenty of water for your pup, and maybe a treat for being good all day! After all, you’re getting your own treat for humans!
