There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and people to meet in this area, and it's fun to explore the streets with your dog. The Oasis Diner in Plainfield is a famous and historic restaurant that was built in 1954, and in 2014, it was moved to Plainfield Town Center and had new life breathed into it. This popular restaurant has several dog-friendly tables outside where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert items (their milkshakes are incredible!) without having to leave your precious pet at home!

Duffey-Gibbs

The Duffey-Gibbs neighborhood is in the heart of Plainfield, and it's a favorite family-friendly community with convenient access to parks, schools, and recreational facilities. It is also where you will find the Plainfield Dog Park. Also known as the Plainfield "Bark Park," this dog park is part of a larger recreational facility in Plainfield. To access the park, you will need to register and get a swipe card to go through the park gates. Once you're inside, you and your pooch will love all of the open green space, and there is even some agility equipment when your dog needs an extra challenge.

The Quakers

The Quakers

The famous Quaker family played a prominent role in establishing Plainfield, and in fact, the town got its name from the Quakers' "plain" style of speech and dress. Plainfield's high school mascot is also called the Quaker, and there is a large neighborhood in the town known as "The Quakers." Hummel Park can be found in this neighborhood, and it's a popular spot for dog owners to take their pets for a pawesome time. It only takes half an hour to drive from Plainfield, Indiana to the neighborhood known as the Huntington Communities in Indianapolis. Just west of this beautiful residential neighborhood lies Eagle Creek Park which is the 6th largest city park in America with an astounding 3,900 acres of woods and 1,300 acres of reservoir. There are numerous trails within this park you can explore with your leashed dog, and there is a separate, fenced-off area where you can socialize and exercise your dog off-leash while you visit with fellow dog owners. The park was built in honor of a former city councilor, and there is even a statue of his beloved yellow lab at the park entrance.
