This area’s Prairie Wolf Park has a series of pawsome loop trails where you and your leashed furry friend can burn off some energy while enjoying time together in the great outdoors! The Yankee Boy Loop meanders through woods and around the perimeter of the Gull Prairie, a huge open grassy meadow with a pond on the southwest edge. This pawpular canine hangout has lots of other wide open fields, orchards and even a scenic overlook with a picnic area at the top!

This huge neighborhood park has a nature trail that meanders along Sharps Creek. You and Fido will have a blast exploring all there is to see and sniff along this beautiful path! There’s also tons of huge grassy areas peppered with mature trees, a disc golf course, a playground, and a covered picnic area. There are also picnic tables scatted throughout the park, if you and Fido want to have a secluded snack time! In the springtime, check out the woofderful wildflowers that bloom!

The area is home to the puptastic Shadyside Park, where leashed dogs are welcome to join their humans for furrific fun. Take a walk on the Shadyside Park Trail, and enjoy the sights and sounds as you and your pup make your way through the picturesque wooded areas. Be sure to check out where the nature trail crosses a creek on the east side of the park! There are tons of beautiful hardwoods that provide pleasant shade on warm days, tons of picnic tables, two playgrounds and a pavilion perfect for family gatherings! Shadyside Park also has a baseball diamond and restrooms.

The Caledonia Lakeside Park is this neighborhood’s large greenspace with woofderful nature trails and 1,500 feet of water frontage! You and Fido won’t have trouble finding a spot to relax away from the crowds at this park! There are multiple picnic areas, playgrounds, baseball diamonds and an access point for a stretch of the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail that stretches more than seven miles through Kent County. The paved, scenic trail is another pawsome place to walk with your pup! This neighborhood is also home to the puptastic Lepard Nature Preserve, where leashed dogs are welcome.

Off-leash fun awaits you in Wyoming’s Godfrey-Lee neighborhood! Check out the neighborhood’s Wyoming Dog Park located within Marquette Park, just 18 miles from Caledonia. This 2.2-acre fully fenced-in area has pawsome features like a variety of agility equipment stationed around the grassy space. There’s a special section for smaller dogs and drinking water available, too. The park has picnic tables where humans can relax while pups play in the designated digging areas and sniff the fire hydrants. You can get access by obtaining a key fab and paying a small fee through the Wyoming Parks and Recreation office. For a furrific place to explore with your leashed pooch, check out the rest of Marquette Park! There’s tons of open grassy areas and spots for a pleasant picnic with your pooch.
