Sunset Hills City Limit

Sunset Hills is home to many parks for a person and their dog to explore on leash together. Watson Trails is a city park that has a paved walkway around a small pond that is very popular with resident dog walkers. Kitun Dog Park is located at 12201 Eddie and Park Road. This dog park has a completely fenced, grassy enclosure for dogs to socialize off-leash. Water and waste bags are both supplied by the dog park. Visitors must purchase an annual pass prior to using the dog park. Residents of Sunset Hills and adjacent Crestwood have a reduced fee.

Arnold City Limits

Arnold City Limits  is twelve miles south of Sunset Hills in neighboring Jefferson County, Missouri. It is a small town that has two dog parks for area dogs to enjoy. Each of the "Paw Parks" is at least an acre in size.  Both of them are fully fenced, and have separate fenced space for the smaller dogs. One dog park is located in Arnold City Park, and the other in Ferd B Lang Park.  The dog parks have water on-site, and doggie waste bags are provided. The ground of the large dog section in the Arnold City Park has a pea gravel surface. The remaining grounds are mostly grass covered. These dog parks are free and open to the public.

St Louis Hills

The neighborhood of St. Louis Hills is ten miles north of Sunset Hills. It is a southern neighborhood of the City of St. Louis,  and is home to the Southwest City Dog Park at Wilmore Park. This fully fenced, grassy dog park is the pawfect place for dogs to to get off leash and sniff out a pal or two. Wilmore Park has many mature and large shade trees, and the dog park has numerous benches for the human companions. Water is available on-site. Use of the dog park is restricted to members only.  Wilmore Park also has a couple of fishing lakes and open grassy areas for on-leash walking.

University City

University City is a neighborhood of St. Louis County and is twelve miles north of Sunset Hills. It's also home to the University City Off Leash Dog Park, located at 6869 Vernon Avenue. This dog park is fully fenced and has a mostly grassy terrain. There is a separate area for the small dogs so they don't ruffhouse with the bigger breeds. There is water on-site. Kiddie pools help keep dogs cool during those hot summer days. Chairs and benches scattered throughout the dog park give pet parents a place to rest while their pups play. Doggie waste bags are supplied by the dog park. Registration and a fee must be paid prior to use.

Ballwin

Ballwin is a neighborhood of St. Louis County and is twelve miles west of Sunset Hills. Here, you'll find Tails & Trails at Queeny Park, which is a fully fenced dog park located at 550 Weidman Road. The fenced sections are separated based on dog size. This dog park has five acres for pups to play and run off-leash. Drinking water is available on-site, and human companions have a covered pavilion from which to watch and supervise their pup at play. Visitors to the dog park must register and pay a fee. In addition to the dog park, Queeny Park has several trails, including a four-mile paved trail, for a person and a leashed dog to experience.
