This park has everything you and your pooch could want. There are so many different trails that you can choose from here. All of them require your canine friend to be on a leash. The park offers a water fountain and waste station. On the trails, there is exercise equipment for the owners to use while their fur baby is exploring all of the new scents. Most of the trails will lead to the ocean. This is just pawfect, because after a long walk your pooch can swim and cool off! Don't forget to bring a towel!

Lloyd Harbor

This pawesome neighborhood is located 14 miles from Brentwood, New York, and is a great place for you and your pup to enjoy a hiking trip on an easy trail. The Walt Whitman Trail is 4.25 miles long and is mainly flat surface. There is one section of the trail that turns into a hill. Your pooch will have a blast sniffing all of the new smells along the trail. You will need to bring water and supplies for cleaning up after your canine friend, though. There are trees for shade as you walk. Grab your hiking shoes and your pup’s leash for a nice day walking through nature!

Midtown East

This neighborhood is located 46 miles from Brentwood, New York and has a very nice dog park and dog run for your pooch to enjoy. The Stuyvesant Park Dog Run is a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of New York. In the dog run portion of the park, dogs are free to run off-leash. If you want to explore outside this area, your best fur-iend will need to be on a leash. This area is nicely shaded with plenty of benches for seating. You will need to bring your own water and doggy waste bags for cleanup, though. This is a nice open space for your dog to run off some of his energy. Your pooch will have a blast at this park!

Rowayton

Although it's located about an hour and a half from Brentwood, the rave reviews of the The Rowayton Dog Park speak for themselves! This is a large area where your pooch can roam around off-leash. It is fenced in and has areas that are full of sun and areas that are nice and shady. There is plenty of seating for the owners, and the park provides and automatic water refill so your canine pal won’t ever be thirsty. Your furry friend will love the feel of the soft grass under his paws. You and your canine friend will have a puptastic time at this park; just don't forget the waste bags!

Center Hauppauge

This pawesome neighborhood is located only 4 miles from Brentwood, New York and is home to the Blydenburgh Dog Park. This dog park is located inside the Blydenburgh County Park. It is an off-leash park that encompasses 2 fenced-in acres. This will allow your pooch room to explore and sniff everything. There are two separate areas, one for smaller dogs and one for the larger breeds. The park is open daily all year round from 8 am until sunset. There are wooded trails for you to walk your pooch on and there are plenty of trees for shade as well. The park provides a drinking fountain for furry friends, but you will need to bring your own supplies for cleaning up after your pup. Another plus is that there are plenty of spots for parking. Grab a ball and head on over for a day of fun!
