Want to take a beautiful walk along the Hudson River with your dog? Head to Henry Hudson Waterfront Park! This park welcomes dogs on-leash, and it has a short but scenic waterfront path. There are also plenty of benches along the path where you can sit and enjoy views of the water with your dog. Bring water and doggy bags, and have a good time walking here. If you want to get a bite to eat after the park, head over to Cascades. Sit at one of their two dog-friendly outdoor tables, and enjoy their delicious signature sandwiches, soups, and salads.

If you’re looking for a great place to hike in Hudson, check out Oakdale Park. This park has lovely hiking trails to explore with your dog. North Egremont is a residential neighborhood with a pawesome off-leash area your dog is sure to love: French Park Dog Park. Located 23 miles from Hudson, this dog park has separate small and large dog areas for pups to play in. Both areas have tons of space for dogs to run, and there are plenty of benches for owners. If you want to take your dog for a longer on-leash walk after they’re finished playing, French Park has beautiful forest trails you can explore. Bring water with you, and have a fun day out at this park.

When you’re in this Woodstock neighborhood, you won’t want to miss Woodstock Dog Park. This dog park is 31 miles from Hudson, and it has two separate areas: one for large dogs and one for small dogs that weigh less than 30 pounds. Doggy bags are available for your pup, but be sure to bring some water with you. If you’re hungry after the park, head over to Bear Café. This restaurant allows dogs at their outdoor tables, which offer a beautiful view of Saw Kill Stream. To eat, they offer locally-sourced pork chops, steaks, salmon, and much more. Bone Appetit!

Risingdale
Risingdale is home to Monument Mountain Reservation, a great place to take your dog for an on-leash hike. Located 31 miles from Hudson, this reservation has numerous hiking trails to explore with your dog. For amazing views of the valley and mountains surrounding the reservation, check out the 0.62-mile Squaw Peak Trail. Or, if you’d like to go on a slightly longer hike, try the 1.51-mile Indian Monument Trail. This trail takes you through the forest and past the remnants of historic Native American villages. Bring doggy bags and water for yourself and your dog, and enjoy hiking this historic and scenic reservation.
