Beverly

If your dog is ready to get out and run, take a trip to Glass City Dog Park. With over four acres of terrain and a separate area for small dogs, this park is a pawsome place for your furry friend to let off some extra energy. Your pooch will appreciate the chance to mix and mingle with new four legged friends. A yearly membership fee is required, so be sure to fill out the application before heading over. One corner of the park is occasionally used for special events and K-9 training by Lucas County Canine Care and Control animals. Your pup can observe the experts in action- maybe she’ll learn a new trick or two!

South Side

Southside is home to the Middlegrounds Metro Park Off-Leash Dog Run. Bring your four legged pal over for some much needed socialization and exercise. He’ll get a chance to romp and play with new friends. Throw a ball for a good old fashioned game of fetch, or let him sniff around on his own. There is a separate area for small dogs, so little pups can play at their own pace. When your canine companion is finished playing, clip on his leash and venture over to Middlegrounds Metro Park. Mosey down the walking path and enjoy the views of the Maumee River. Your dog is sure to have a fetching time!

Ottawa

If your furry friend smells a little ripe, book her an appointment at Hot Dog’s Pet Salon. Located in Ottawa, this full service grooming salon will get your pooch looking her best in no time. Treatment includes a bath with luxury shampoo, brush, nail trim and haircut. She can even get feather extensions for some added glam. Once she looks like a million bucks, head over to Ottawa Park for some exercise. She can show off her new ‘do while walking around the paved trails. This park has tennis courts, playgrounds, horse shoe pits and picnic tables so there will be plenty of two legged friend for your pup to meet.

East Toledo

East Toledo is home to International Park. Your pup won’t want to miss out on a walk in this scenic waterfront area. Get your dog’s heart pumping as you follow the Dr. Richard D. Ruppert Rotary Trail around the park. This paved trail clocks in at 2.36 miles and provides pawsome views of the Maumee River. Your furry friend will love spending quality time by your side while feeling the warm sun on his back. Take a break on one of the benches and watch boat activity on the river. No bones about it, this walk will make your pup’s tail wag!
