If you’re looking for a good spot to take your pup for an on-leash walk in Plymouth Meeting, Harriet Wetherill Park is perfect for you! This woof-derful 67-acre park has numerous gravel, paved, and unpaved trails that go around meadows and through woodlands. The park also has a peaceful butterfly garden and tranquil streams. Bring some doggy bags with you, and have a great time hiking here with your dog. If you want to go for a bite to eat after playing at the park, check out Elevation Burger. This casual burger joint welcomes dogs at their four outdoor tables and offers grass-fed beef burgers, homemade veggie burgers, chicken burgers, and more.

This Wayne neighborhood is home to another pawesome place to take your dog for long, on-leash walks: McKaig Nature Center. Located eight miles from Plymouth Meeting, this 89-acre nature preserve has a few different hiking trails you can explore with your dog. If you’re looking for a short walk, try the .36-mile Old Wood Trail. This trail takes you through McKaig’s beautiful undeveloped woodlands. Or, if you’d like to walk along a picturesque creek, check out the .71-mile Cadet Trail, which is adjacent to McKaig Creek. You could also go on the half-mile Nancy Long Trail, which follows Wayne Woods Creek. No matter what trails you choose to do, you’re sure to have a great time here!

Fitler Square
Does your dog love running and playing off-leash? If so, they’re sure to fall head over paws for Schuylkill River Dog Park! This park is about 15 miles from Plymouth Meeting, in Philadelphia’s Fitler Square neighborhood, and it includes separate fenced areas for large and small dogs to play in. Both areas have synthetic turf that’s easy for your dog to run on, and the park supplies biodegradable doggy bags. If your pup gets messy while playing, there’s a hose you can use to clean them off. If you’re searching for another furrific off-leash area for your pup, try Haverford Reserve Dog Park. This dog park is 13 miles from Plymouth Meeting, and it includes two huge separate areas for large and small dogs to run and play in. There are plenty of trees to keep the park shady and cool, and there are picnic tables for owners to sit at. Bring water with you, and enjoy playing here with your pup! If you want to get something to eat afterward, check out Saxbys Coffee. This casual café welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and they offer a wide variety of hot and frozen coffee drinks, sandwiches, and baked goods.

This North Wales neighborhood is home to the popular off-leash area Montgomery Township Bark Park. Located 10 miles from Plymouth Meeting, this dog park has separate areas for large and small dogs. Both areas are fenced and double-gated to keep your pup safe and secure. The park has lots of agility equipment for your dog to play on, including ramps to climb and hoops to jump through.
