Spring City
The small town of Spring City is just a mile away from Royersford, and there are a couple of places here that your pooch will love. The Spring City Borough Park is one of these, as this large neighborhood park is home to multiple sports facilities, a play area and several picnic tables. There is a winding walking trail to take you and Fido around the park, just be sure to have a lead, doggie bags and drinking water with you. If the two of you would like to stop for a refreshment, Dawdy Haus Coffee is dog-friendly, and serves up a range of hot and cold specialty coffees, alongside sandwiches, breakfast items and more.

Limerick
Less than three miles from Royersford is the small town of Limerick, where you and Fido will find some exceptional natural beauty. State Game Lands 234 is the best place to take this all in, as this expansive parcel of greenery stretches out for 426 acres, giving the two of you so many areas to explore. The majority of the land is open field, but there are also small wooded areas with plenty of trees to provide shade. There are a few short walking trails located around the land, but be sure to keep your pooch on a lead at all times, especially since there are so many deer that call this area home.

Mennonite Road
About two miles from Royersford is Mennonite Road, a Collegeville neighborhood with a couple of pawtastic parks. The Anderson Farm Park is a large park with numerous facilities, including an amphitheater, basketball and tennis courts, a playground, expansive grassy areas, and a short walking trail. This neighborhood also provides access to the Central Perkiomen Park, an 800 acre park that offers up everything from playgrounds to picnic areas to a short network of walking trails. While dogs are allowed in both parks, a lead is essential, as is some drinking water and doggie bags. If you and Fido are feeling hungry after all of that outdoor adventure, pay a visit to the dog-friendly Zoe's Kitchen for some fresh and healthy Mediterranean cuisine.

Parker Ford/ Brownbacks
It takes about ten minutes to drive from Royersford to the Pottstown neighborhood of Parker Ford/ Brownbacks, and the journey is more than worth it thanks to the pawsome walks to be had here. This is where you will find the Linfield County Preserve, which is located along the banks of the Schuylkill River, meaning that its walking trails provide some beautiful views. Also on the bank of the river, but towards the north end of the neighborhood, is the lush, green Sanatoga County Preserve, with a hiking trail, beginning right by the parking lot, that stretches out for just under three miles.

Evansburg
Just over six miles from Royersford is the Collegeville neighborhood of Evansburg, which is home to the Evansburg State Park. This is a park that your pooch will love, as it consists of 3349 acres of forests, meadows, fields and more. There is a golf course, sports fields and picnic areas within the park, as well as 15 miles of walking trails to explore. Keep in mind that these are also equestrian trails, so may not be suitable for dogs who don't like horses. If all of that walking is not enough, Evansburg also provides access to the Central Perkiomen Valley Park, with its playground, picnic tables and scenic vistas.
