Here you can let your pooch explore on the grass, and there are also volleyball courts, two tennis courts and a picnic area that you can use during the day.

Route 60/ Matagorda Hwy

When you are out exploring everything that Bay City has to offer, you are bound to get hungry. When your stomach starts to growl, be sure to stop by the Dairy Queen! Here you can get your paws into a delicious burger, hot dog or sweet treat, such as a dipped cone or sundae. In addition, don’t forget to order a special Pup Cup for your furry friend! For some playtime and exercise, head to Duncan Park. There is lots of grass here, as well as some puptastic amenities, including picnic areas, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, a playground for the kids and a volleyball court.

Ave F/ 12th St

For a run around with your pooch, head to Amistad Park in Bay City! There is a lot of grass for your pup to enjoy, as well as a basketball court, pavilion, playground and BBQ pits. If you get hungry, head on over to Whataburger, where you can dig into some delicious burgers with a variety of toppings, and there are outdoor tables that are dog friendly. For comfortable accommodation, stay at the Days Inn. Here you can bring two pups weighing up to 50 lbs, with only a small additional fee per night of your trip.

West Columbia

For a fun day with your canine, head 24 miles from Bay City to the puptown of West Columbia! Here you can try out some new dog friendly eateries, such as the puptastic 421 Coffeehouse and Bistro. Drop by for some delicious lunch and dinner, including a range of sandwiches. Of course, this pawsome place is dog friendly, which means you can bring your furry friend along. There is a fitness trail that you can follow for some exercise, as well as plenty of grass for your pooch. In addition, there are lots of furrific amenities here that you will love. This includes a tennis court, sand volleyball courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, playgrounds for the kids, basketball court and picnic tables. Another pawsome park that your pup will love is the James F Crews Park! This has a sniff-tastic hiking trail and there are plenty of trees here that provide shade.
