Sidlaw Hills is a cluster of streets and lanes which are a ten-minute drive away from the heart of Bella Vista. The quaint streets are filled with small modern houses set back from the road. These houses are spread out with small gatherings of trees in between each dwelling.
The area is a short drive away from many dog-friendly amenities, such as vets, groomers, trainers and pet hospitals. ‘From the Ground Up’ is a farmer’s market that is located a ten-minute drive away from the neighborhood. The market is relatively new, but is beginning to grow, attracting all sorts of local residents. It greets any type of dog, from puppy to adult and is extremely welcoming.
The weather in Bella Vista is enjoyable all year round with Spring and Autumn being the best time of year to walk your little pup as you and your pet won't get too hot or too cold!
The surrounding area gives you the feel of being in the countryside due to the abundance of trees and freshly planted flowers. Despite this illusion, the neighborhood is actually mostly roads. The roads have all been newly resurfaced, therefore providing and smooth surface for you and your pup to walk on. With a smooth concrete surface, the area is particularly flat with only shallow slopes. This makes the area exceptionally ideal for people who cannot walk far or have a disability, or for dogs who need a bit of a lighter stroll. The houses set back from the road make the area a lovely place to explore. Cars also drive slowly around here and so when taking your family out for a walk you can let you children run around a little without worrying too much.
The neighborhood is just next to a large golf course in which you are able to walk your pooch. Here, there are lakes and rivers that give the greens and verges a calm and tranquil feel. This is perfect for walking your pup in Spring when the birds start to sing!
Not far away from the Sidlaw Hills is a large lake called Loch Lomond. This large body of water is very peaceful. Let your pup off the leash to have a roam around the lake and the greens surrounding it. Here, Cedar Lodge Arkansas Resort sits on the lakeside. As a dog-friendly resort, you can simply stop here to take in the views or visit for a special evening away. The Loch Lomond Marina is a beautiful place to visit while viewing the lake. It holds a small jetty with boats. It can be a very pretty place to sit and watch the world go by!
