Tanyard Creek Courts

Located below the Windsor Lake Dam, the Tanyard Creek Nature Trail is a great destination for walking with Fido. You can stroll along the hiking trail and admire a variety of local plants while your pooch has a snifftastic time among the trees and wildlife. During the Fall, you will love the beautiful changing of the seasons, and Fido can run through the banks along Windsor Lake. The kids will love playing in the water, and you can relax at one of the shaded picnic areas. Pack plenty of water bottles in the cooler for you and your pup, and bring your own doggie waste bags.

Spanker/Dartmore

Blowing Springs Park is located in the middle of the Upper Trail, and features a great place to hike and camp. There are well-maintained RV and tent sites where you can spend some quality time with Fido and the family, and walk or bike along the trails. Your pooch will enjoy walking through the nature areas and sniffing the plants and trees. One of the trails travels about 22 miles if you are looking for some more strenuous exercise. The shaded picnic areas are perfect for lunch with friends and their furry companions. Convenient bathrooms are always open, and you can even refill water bottles at the fountain.

Skyline

A puptastic destination for you and Fido is the Bella Vista Lake Park featuring 132-acres of open space. You can walk along the various skill level trails so even the kids can tag along, or bring your older pooch out to enjoy the sunshine. While strolling through the nature area, you will see a variety of plants and animals, so be sure to keep Fido on his leash. There is playground equipment where the kids can run around, and you and your pup can relax on a shaded bench and watch the kids play. Stroll around the lake and let your pup get his feet wet before heading back home.

Lake Windsor

Lake Windsor and Lake Windsor Park offer a beautiful area to spend time with Fido. The lake covers over 220-acres where you and your pooch can go fishing, or just let your pup roll around in the grass. There is a fishing pier where you can watch a sunset or walk around the perimeter of the lake and give Fido some exercise. There are clean restrooms, and you can fill up water bottles at the fountain. The shaded picnic tables are a puptacular place to enjoy burgers with your furry family members. Be sure to bring your own doggie waste bags and dispose of trash in receptacles.

Lake Lomond

One of the most “pup”ular destinations in Bella Vista is the K9 Corral or Loch Lomond Dog Park. There are separate areas for both large dogs and small pups, and stocked doggie waste stations. Fido can run around and socialize with furry friends, and then stop by the water fountain for a cool drink. Your pooch will enjoy rolling around in the grass or chasing after a ball. Pup parents can relax on shaded benches and socialize with friends while the pups run off their excess energy. Outside the dog park, there are walking trails where both you and Fido can exercise, and plenty of picnic pavilions for lunch with the family.
