Afton
Afton is a small rural community with an area high school, a few churches, some businesses, and single-family homes. Visit the museum at Afton Station in town to see classic cars and other memorabilia of bygone days. Enjoy some time by the water with your special pal by heading to Bernice Area at Grand Lake State Park. This 88-acre facility offers RV and tent camping, lake access, fishing, hiking, and picnic areas. Come for the day or plan a weekend vacation with your four-footed friend. Make sure that you keep your dog on a leash and that you clean up his messes.36
Bernice
The small town of Bernice is a lakeside community that's southeast of downtown Afton. This area includes two marinas, an RV resort, single-family homes, and some small businesses. Take a quiet walk around the block with Spot here. If you're looking for a place by the water to go camping with your special pal, head to Indian Hills Marina. You can launch into the lake to go cruising or fishing for the day here. This site has pet-friendly cabins and RV hookups available. A pet deposit is required when renting a cabin. Remember to keep Fido on a leash and pick up his waste.24
Vinita City Center
City Center in Venita is a mixed-zone neighborhood with residential streets surrounding a commercial downtown area. You'll find small businesses, a few restaurants, and two parks here. Check out the Eastern Trails Museum to learn some history of the region. Get a little fresh air with your canine companion by heading to North Park. This town facility includes playgrounds, open space, and picnic areas. Bring a frisbee and play catch in the grass with your fur baby. Dogs are permitted on the property if they're under control with a leash. Have waste bags handy to clean up your pooch's droppings.12

The area around South 4390th Road and East 240th Road is on the northern side of Vinita. This neighborhood has country estates and farms. Take a walk or jog along peaceful roads with your fur baby here. If you want to try your hand at a little fishing, head to Vinita Lake Park off County Road South 4420. This undeveloped property has a public boat ramp, picnic areas, and some open space. Launch into Bull Lake and cast into the water, then enjoy an outdoor meal with your furry pal. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you for a furrific adventure here.
Grove
The town of Grove, located on the eastern shore of Grand Lake, is just 16 miles east of Afton. In this area, you'll find a few parks, single-family homes, small businesses, and some golf clubs. A peaceful place to visit in the downtown area is Lendonwood Gardens on Har-Ber Road. When you want to stretch your legs with your pup, take him to Grove Springs Park. There are picnic facilities, a playground, a ball field, and a walking trail in this 15-acre property. Go for a hike and enjoy a snack with your leashed pal.
