The park is located in the southeast part of the city, and in addition to the small and large dog sections, the park also features a separate training area. This pawesome dog park even has a washing station so you can clean your pup up before you head home. During the summer months, you'll also find kiddie pools where your pup can make a splash! For your convenience, seating, shade, and waste disposal items are all available at this free off-leash park.

Fayetteville is a large city in Arkansas that's less than 20 minutes south of Johnson. In the very southern part of Fayetteville, there's an area called Lake Wilson, and it's full of all sorts of opportunities for family fun! Lake Wilson is a 320-acre park that includes 28 acres of water. In addition to Lake Wilson being a good place to hike, fish, boat, or picnic, it's also a great place to bring your dog! The Lake Wilson Off-Leash Dog Area is "fenced" with natural boundaries instead of wood or metal, so make sure your dog has good recall skills if you plan to let them off-leash. There are miles of trails to explore with your dog, and you'll be rewarded with stunning views along the way!

Bryce Davis Park

One of the closest dog parks to Johnson is the IAMS Dog Park in western Fayetteville, which is only about a ten-minute drive away. You can access this park by taking a trail from Bryce Davis Park, and it's certainly worth the quick walk! The dog park has three sections: one for small dogs, one for big dogs, and a large, fenced pavilion with a water fountain and covered seating. The small and big dog sections include some agility equipment so you can teach your dog a few new tricks. There is also seating and waste disposal items within IAMS Dog Park, too.

North Bentonville

You can drive from Johnson to north Bentonville, Arkansas in about 25 minutes, and this is where you'll find the Bentonville Bark Park. This pawpular dog park has a big dog section, a small dog section, and even an agility section! The Bentonville Bark Park has a reputation for being frequented by friendly dogs and owners, and it's also known for being kept very clean and well-maintained! The park is free to use, and it also features seating, waste disposal items, and a water fountain just outside of the fence. The bark park is right next to the North Bentonville Trail, which is a nice place to take your dog for a walk on a leash.

If you're looking to do something a little different than playing at an off-leash park with your dog, consider visiting the War Eagle Cavern on Beaver Lake with them! The War Eagle Cavern is located in Rogers, Arkansas and it's one of the most-visited attractions in the state. Here, you can tour the cave, pan for gems, and explore the maze, and your dog can join you if they're on a leash! This is the only dog-friendly cave tour in the area, and it's always 58 degrees, no matter the time of year. You can take a guided tour here with your whole family, and kids under three get in for free!
