Mountainburg
Mountainburg is a neighborhood with single-family homes, some municipal buildings, a high school, and a few local businesses. This quiet community has some country lanes that are pawesome places to go strolling with your pup. To enjoy a park day with your four-footed pal, head to Dinosaur Park on US Highway 71. This facility has open spaces, a picnic area, and a paved walking loop. Take a few laps around the park, then grab a snack at one of the tables. Make sure you keep your pup on a leash and under control. Bring waste bags with you when you come.36

Chester
About 4.3 miles north of town, you'll find the remote neighborhood of Chester. This small community includes residential areas, a city park, and a local cafe. Here, you and Spot can get some exercise by walking down wooded country lanes. A furrific spot to get some fresh air with your pooch is Chester City Park. This facility includes a wooded lot and some open space beside Clear Creek. Wander through the trees or hike along the water's edge with your canine pal. Dogs on a leash are welcome to accompany you here as long as you clean up after them.24

Locke
Locke is a forested mountain community that's about 8.7 miles northeast of Mountainburg. You'll be able to take your pup for a walk along quiet country lanes in this area. For a pawtastic outdoor adventure, head to White Rock Mountain. This recreation area includes hiking trails and primitive campsites. You and your special pal can walk on the rim to catch spectacular views of the surrounding areas, or you can hike past waterfalls and along bluffs here.
