A popular Pet Caregiver on the Wag! platform, Danielle, a dog walker who hails from Dallas, has been walking dogs since 2019.
Pet Parents who worked with Danielle have said she is "great, always gives the "funniest stories of their dog's antics," is sure to give a "rolling good time" with doggies, "treats their dog like her own" and "always goes above and beyond." And she has a track record to prove it.
Since 2019, Danielle has completed a whopping 1,231 dog walks with reviews earning her a 5-star rating. How pawsome!
We've asked Danielle some questions, and she'll talk about her experience as a dog walker on the Wag! platform, her inspiration for signing up to be a Wag! walker, and even share some words of wisdom for anyone thinking about becoming a dog walker with Wag!
I was born and raised in sunny Southern California. I moved to North Texas 8 years ago, and haven’t looked back. Texas is my home.
Walking pups is actually what I do in my spare time. Spending time with all the sweet dogs is so fulfilling, and is definitely my wohsah. When I’m not Wag! walking, I’m studying.
I have a 8-year old Golden Pom mix named Bronx. He is my baby, and definitely makes life that much sweeter.
Internet research!
I really enjoy walking pups in my own neighborhood. I live in an apartment community that is like it’s own little city. Just about everyone has a dog, and it’s fun to get to know and see all my local fur friends on a regular basis. I love giving out pet hugs!
Be persistent! It can be difficult at first to get accepted for dog walks, and seem like you keep getting skipped over. Just put in for all the walks you can.
I love meeting new pups, and building a bond with them. It is very exciting to me to book a repeat client, and I always look forward to seeing the happiness the dog exudes when they see me coming up the driveway.
A bit of a sad story....my Dad was my inspiration. My Dad passed away suddenly from cancer, and I had a very tough time with it. He was my best friend and my biggest supporter. I had gone to counseling, which helped immensely, but I could feel that I truly wasn’t happy in my heart. I didn’t want to feel that way anymore.
The idea of being outdoors, getting exercise, and doing all of this while being with my most favorite animal made my heart feel happy. I signed up to be a walker, and this became my therapy. These dogs have helped me more than I could ever put into words!!
I have a medical background, and am in pursuit of becoming a nurse. Along with being a Pet Caregiver I work in a hospital caring for elderly patients, who I love and adore.
I have always had a passion for animals, especially dogs, and I am lucky enough to be fulfilling both of my passions! With both careers, I am able to create my own schedules, so I never have to be without one or the other.
One thing that always surprises people is that I have a turtle. Not only that, she has been with me for 19 years. I’m sure she is going to out live me, and I will have to dedicate her next caregiver in my will!
A big thank you to Danielle for sharing her story with us and providing 5-star awesome care to the doggies in her neighborhood in Dallas. We're blessed to have dependable Pet Caregivers like Danielle on our Wag! platform. If you're in the area, book a walk with Danielle!
