The area around Warwick consists of mostly two-lane roads with little or no shoulder, but there are trails, open areas, and parks close by where you can enjoy taking Fido for a walk on mostly natural terrain. There is a good mix of terrain in the area and you can expect a few hills especially along some of the trails. If you choose to walk the Blowing Springs trail there is an elevation gain of 341 feet on the loop. The hike is considered moderate in difficulty, which makes it a great workout for both you and your pooch. You will find a waterfall along the way as well as picnic benches, should you and your dog decide to stop for lunch. There is also a trail that loops around the lake at Bella Vista Lake Park, which offers an easier terrain of just 26 feet of elevation gain and 1.8 miles. The trail is asphalt and gravel surrounded by lots of grass, which may make for a gentler walk if either of you are not quite up to the trails at Blowing Springs.
There are lots of open spaces around Warwick to take your dog for a good romp. Many of the parks are dog-friendly and only ask that you keep your dog on a leash and clean up after him. Blowing Springs Park and trail is within walking distance of the Warwick community and the Bella Vista Lake Park is just two miles away. Both offer wide open spaces as well as trails. Blowing Springs Park also welcomes mountain bikers and hikers so you will need to keep a close eye on your dog to prevent mishaps. Bella Vista Lake Park has a dog station, plenty of shady spots and lots of green grass for your happy pup to roll in. You will also find extensive greenways and parking along Sugar Creek, which is also just two miles away There is also the Sugar Creek soccer sporting park in the same area, but they ask that you leave your pets at home when you visit.
