Beachside Townhomes sit on Adams Avenue, only two blocks from the beach. From your home, you can walk to the coast in about ten minutes where you can hike along the surf or go swimming in the waves. The only member of your family who can't enjoy this is, unfortunately, your canine companion.

However, all city parks are dog-friendly and there just happens to be a large park at the end of Washington Avenue where it meets the beach. You and your dog can be here in less than ten minutes if you walk. There is plenty of room for the two of you to stretch your legs and run around!

For your shopping convenience, there is a Publix Supermarket less than ten minutes south on North Atlantic Avenue. Here, you can fill your pantry with everything your family needs and they even stock a selection of the top brands of dog food!

The Beachside Townhomes sit in a densely populated residential area. The traffic during both morning and evening rush hours can be hectic on Ridgewood Avenue to the east and within the residential areas. When they're running, the school buses only add to the mess. Once morning rush hours are over, you and your dog should be able to enjoy going for walks on the sidewalks running through the area.

While vehicular traffic during the day tends to be significantly less, pedestrian traffic picks up from time to time. You have kids at play or on bicycles and skateboards while others are headed to the beach or home after spending time there. Many of these people may want to stop and pet your dog. By keeping your dog on a short leash and working with everyone who comes up to explain how to approach your pup, everyone can have a good time and your dog can get in more socialization.

Cape Canaveral has a number of small city parks like Cherie Down Park, one block north at the east end of Washington Avenue. This park offers a large area of grass for both of you to run around on and stretch your legs. For the human members of your family, the park also offers direct access to the beach.

However, if you take A1A back across the Banana River, you can go south on North Courtenay Parkway to East Merritt Avenue. Your journey will take you to one of the entrances to the Ulumay Wildlife Sanctuary. Here, there are trails to hike, birds to look for, and alligators to keep a very close eye out for, even in the dormant months from October through May. The sanctuary covers over 430 acres and has a trail running along the man made waterway that gives you a spectacular view of the area while you hike with your dog.
