Alpinecrest consists of two dead-end streets, Pinecrest Court and Highland Court, that connect directly to Clearlake Road. Like many communities that sit along a major road like Clearlake, there are businesses along the way with a residential area behind them. Alpinecrest is an interesting blend of mishmashed homes. The houses are a mix of single-family and mobile homes, which is not that uncommon in this part of Florida.

For your small grocery needs, there is a grocery store at the east end of Highland Court. This small locally-owned store is convenient and carries a good selection of the basics. For a larger selection, the Walmart Supercenter is five minutes to the north on Clearlake Road. If you like to eat out, there are several small restaurants nearby as well as a Sonic Drive-In that serves up amazing burgers. Your next-door neighbor to the south is the Clearlake Middle School, so expect lots of buses during the school year.

The land is, like most of Cocoa, quite flat and has little to offer in the way of a serious challenge when taking your pup out for their daily walks. The only real challenge is the lack of sidewalks and trying to find a time of day when it's safe to stroll on the roads. As a working family neighborhood, both morning and evening rush hours can be a little hectic.

If walking up and down your street is not enough for you, you can go out on Clearlake Road where there are sidewalks on both sides for you to use. You can walk to the burger joint in less than ten minutes and, since it's a walk up or drive-in restaurant, you can take your pooch for the walk and maybe even buy them a burger of their own! It makes a great excursion for both of you with a reward at the end.

Although there aren't any parks within the Alpinecrest neighborhood, there is a broad strip of grass running between the community and the middle school that leads you both back outside of the fenced-in athletic fields. You and your pooch can go and have fun running around on the grassy field. Keep in mind that this is where the school buses are parked, so you might want to avoid being there when they are running.

At the end of both streets, there is a vast area of undeveloped woods for you and your pup to explore. You might get lucky and find a few trails running through them to make your exploration a little easier. On the other side of the woods is a vast complex of softball fields and open areas of grass where the two of you can visit. That is, unless there are games going on, in which case you will need to choose a different time of day.
