Grissom Ridge doesn't truly qualify as a residential area as it is, in fact, an industrial park packed with small business. However, on the other side of Grissom Parkway is a rather sizeable residential area in which many dog owners live who enjoy walking about the area. Grissom Ridge is surrounded on three sides by woods that may or may not be developed in the future. The region is an amazing place to with your family!

While it might feel as though you are deep in the country thanks to the dense woods, in reality, you are less than ten minutes away from essential amenities such as a Walmart Supercenter, a Publix supermarket, a McDonalds, a Taco Bell, and an ALDI discount supermarket. With so many stores all in one place, you should be able to find most of the things your family needs, including any supplies needed for your canine companion.

On three sides of the Grissom Ridge industrial park are dense woods and, on the fourth side, a massive residential area. Most of the day, the parkway is relatively quiet and the berms are wide enough for you and your pup to walk safely away from any traffic. However, twice a day, the traffic heats up and become hectic. These rush hours can be tricky as this area houses one of the main roads leading out from the residential areas to the west.

If you happen to have your dog at work and need to take them for a walk, you can walk around the loop or you can go out on the berm beside Grissom Parkway. This option makes a much better choice as Oxbow Circle tends to have a lot of delivery vehicles and trucks. These lovely wide berms run for miles in either direction, giving both of you plenty of room to stretch your legs along this simple and navigable terrain.

How do you describe the green spaces when everywhere around this location is acres of dense woods? You talk about what you and your dog can find on the east side of Grissom Parkway! With a little looking around, you'll find plenty of trails leading into the woodlands nearby. There is a lake to hike to and these woods are home to a wide variety of native animals and birds. You never know what you might come across!

However, if it's a fenced-in dog park you're looking for, then it's a ten-minute drive north to the Fay Lake Wilderness Off-Leash Dog Park. Like most dog parks, this one offers separate areas for large and small dogs, however, these are much larger than found in many other parks. They have been described as being about the size of a football field! There is even water for the dogs in each zone and shade for you to sit under, making it an ideal spot for a day trip.
