The All Shores Townhomes can be found on Adams Avenue, virtually midway between the east and west coasts of the Cape Canaveral peninsula. Living here puts you closer to the northern end of town than the southern and just far enough away from Astronaut Boulevard to not be stuck dealing with the traffic on this bustling highway and the noise it generates, intruding into your everyday life.
There are a few small stores and restaurants this far north on both North Atlantic Avenue and Astronaut Boulevard. If you need more than this, the central shopping area can be found along Astronaut close to where it intersects with the West Cocoa Beach Causeway and on both sides of the causeway. If this isn't quite enough for what you need, take the causeway over to Merritt Island where you will find a Walmart Supercenter and, a little further on, the Merritt Island Mall.
While the All Shores Townhomes may not be located right on the busiest road in town, Adams Avenue does see its fair share of rush hour traffic twice each day. On some blocks, you will find sidewalks for the two of you to walk on, while others will leave you with nothing but the road. Shade trees are also in short supply in large parts of the residential areas, making it fairly warm in this part of town.
The one thing you can do to ensure you have the least amount of traffic to deal with is to get up and take your dog out for walks before the morning rush hour starts. Not only is there far less congestion to deal with, but the sun has not been out long enough to start really turning up the heat. However, the flat terrain will make it easy to venture out no matter what time of day it is.
When it comes to green spaces to go walking, you are centrally located between Cherie Down Park on the coast and Manatee Sanctuary Park over on the east bank of the Banana River.
Cherie Down Park offers lots of parking, public restrooms, and green grass and shade for the two of you to spend time in. For the two-legged adventurers in your family, the park also offers beach access. Keep in mind that dogs are not permitted on the beaches in Cape Canaveral.
Banana River Park is big enough to sport a full-size soccer pitch, public restrooms, shuffleboard courts, a putting green, a playground, and acres of grass for you and your dog to make good use of.
Right next door is Manatee Sanctuary Park where you will find a lake and walking trails that go around the waterway and the rest of the park. This is a great place to bring your dog for walks any time of year!
