You can walk to the beach from your driveway in two minutes, but you can't take your dog as they aren't permitted. Between the townhomes and Ridgewood, there is a small strip of grass the two of you can use to play around on.
From your home, the nearest shopping amenity is a drive of fewer than ten minutes south on Ridgewood Avenue. Along the West Cocoa Beach Causeway, you will find a number of stores, shopping centers, and restaurants to sample. If you take the causeway over to Merritt Island, there is the ubiquitous Walmart Supercenter and the Merritt Island Mall among many other stores, including places to buy food and treats for your pooch.
