Sea Era Segundo consists of six townhomes next door to the Sea Era Sands Condo. The townhouses face Harrison Avenue at the corner with Ridgewood Avenue. Each unit has either a patio or a balcony, but all have access to a large yard where there is enough room for you and your dog to stretch your legs and get in a little play time.
If you are looking for places to eat or go shopping, you'll have to hop in the car and drive over to Astronaut Boulevard and then go south. Along here, there are numerous restaurants and stores including a Publix Supermarket where you can stock up on groceries for your family and choose from a selection of top brand dog foods for the furry member of the pack. Further to the south on the West Cocoa Beach Causeway, you will find shopping centers, banks, and more amenities to explore.
Living along Ridgewood Avenue guarantees that you and your dog will be sharing your walks on the sidewalks with bustling traffic during the day, but it gets quite hectic here during rush hour and even worse during the school year when the buses are running as they can make frequent stops along the roads.
While you can take your dog out for walks along the nice wide sidewalk on the east side of the road, unless Fido is used to the sights, sounds, and smells of heavy traffic, you may not want to opt for this area and head for some of the more quiet spaces.
The good news is that you can cross over to the other side of Ridgewood where there are several residential areas, some of which have sidewalks while others don't. With the flat terrain, however, you should have no problem navigating your way around the area.
The one thing you have to look forward to in this neighborhood is that most of the city parks are dog-friendly! In fact, most have doggy bag dispensers and waste receptacles for you to use. The only thing the city asks is that you keep your dog on a leash that is six feet long or less and that you clean up after any messes Fido leaves behind.
If you are interested in an off-leash dog park, the nearest one is down in Cocoa Beach. The Cocoa Beach Public Dog Park on A1A has sections for both large and small breeds, 32,000 square feet for your dog to run around in, water hoses for pups to get drinks, and plenty of chairs for you to sit on. Relax in the shade while your pooch goes out and has a good time playing with other local canine companions!
