Top dog walkers in Harbor Isles
Wag! Walkers know Harbor Isles
Cocoa Beach can be found on the beachside peninsula on the east side of the Banana River. Cocoa Beach is a vast residential area filled with a range of housing including single-family homes, townhouses, apartments, and condos. Harbor Isles is a condo community south of the Minuteman Causeway and on the west bank of the river. The community consists of several buildings, a couple of lakes, and lots of grass for you and your dog to walk on.
Being this far south from the heart of town means driving to find essential amenities such as grocery stores, bars, and restaurants. The drive to the Minuteman Causeway shouldn't take more than five minutes on an average day. There, you can find a grocery store, several places to eat, and more shopping amenities. If you want more than this area has to offer, there are more amenities to be found further north along the West Cocoa Beach Causeway.
What is the terrain like in Harbor Isles?
The Harbor Isles community sits along South Brevard Avenue and across the street from the massive Oceana of Cocoa Beach condominium. Within the condos, there is plenty of grass for you and your pooch to walk around and the traffic within the neighborhood is rarely so busy that you would feel uncomfortable going for walks with your hound. The one thing you won't find here are sidewalks. There is only the paved roads or the grass to walk on, but the grass tends to be nicer to your pup's paws anyway!
If you prefer, you can walk along the sidewalks running up and down South Brevard, but be sure you keep your dog on a short leash to help you maintain better control as this road tends to get busy at times. The best time of day to go walking here is early in the morning before the traffic starts getting busy and temperatures start climbing.
How many greenways are there in Harbor Isles?
Within Harbor Isles, there are vast areas of grass, but when you need more room or a change of scenery, there is the Ramp Road Park at the end of Ramp Road! You and your pup can walk to this park where there is a playground, places to launch kayaks, tennis courts, and plenty of room for you and your pup to run around and play. Please be sure you keep your dog on a leash and clean up any messes they make!
Most dogs love the chance to run around off-leash in a place where they can intermingle with their own kind and play. The best place in Cocoa Beach for this has to be the Public Dog Park. Consisting of over 32,000 square feet of shade trees and grass divided neatly in two with areas for small and large dogs, the park also has water hoses in each area along with plenty of chairs for you to sit on in the shade.
