Cocoa Village is an area of town close to the city center, between Willard Street to the north and Orange Street to the south. The neighborhood includes Cocoa City Hall, Historic Cocoa Village, and a range of retail and commercial business. There is a variety of residences in the area, ranging from single-family homes on Lemon Street to apartments scattered all over.

In Cocoa Village and nearby, there is a selection of bars and restaurants for you to check out when you have time. It's not entirely clear if the name MYDOGSWAG is a mash-up of MY DOG SWAG or MY DOGS WAG, but either way, this is a handy pet supply store that specializes in all thing dog on Ridgeway and Center Street. It has just about everything your dog is likely to need! For groceries, it’s a little more of a drive to the nearest store, but you can drive to most of them in less than fifteen minutes.

Cocoa Village is an interesting blend of mass pavement, including both Willard Street and West King Street which form the causeway over to Merritt Island and, from there, to the beach and an open area of grass. In most parts of the "Village", you will find sidewalks for you and your dog to use for your daily walks.

Like most areas in the center of the city, the two of you should avoid going for your daily walks during the morning and evening rush hours. You should also be aware that both Willard Street and West King Street stay busy from the early morning until late at night. These roads form one of the two causeways over to the beach and Port Canaveral where a multitude of cruise lines sail from every week. Whenever the two of you go out for your strolls, be sure you keep your pooch on a short leash for their safety.

Unlike most city centers where there is very little in the way of green spaces for you and your dog to use, there is plenty here in Cocoa Village! Most of the green space within the "Village" is empty lots where buildings may have stood in the past, but you should be able to walk your dog in them, providing you keep them on a short leash.

A much better place to take your pooch out for some time on the grass can be found along the riverbank on the south side of the causeway. What you will find is a triple park complex with plenty to do for everyone! Taylor Park is heavily shaded and has playground equipment for the kids and Cocoa Riverfront Park is home to a wide swath of grass and numerous events throughout the year. Finally, Lee Wenner Park is home to a large public boat launch with plenty of parking for vehicles and boat trailers.
