Wag! Walkers know Evergreen Estates
Evergreen Estates is a small
residential community on Elsie Circle, a loop road that connects to Broadcast Court. This is a manufactured home neighborhood where
everyone has a large yard and many of
the homes have large shade trees.
For neighbors, you
have the Tropical Court mobile home park to the north, which is a more
traditional mobile home community. To the east is Endeavor Elementary School and
there is a small industrial park to the south. To the west is Clearlake Road, a bustling
thoroughfare where traffic tends to flow from early in the morning until late
into the night. It is also home to the Clearlake Animal Hospital should you
ever need medical or emergency services for your dog.
If you need to stock up on groceries, the nearest supermarket
is a Sav-a-Lot on Dixon Boulevard. It’s a short drive and you should be able to find everything you need, including
plenty of dog food for your furry companion.
What is the terrain like in Evergreen Estates?
Unlike most manufactured housing communities in which the
units are placed so close to each other that you can hear your neighbors sneeze, each
home here sits on a large lot much like other, more open suburbs.
There are no sidewalks for you and your dog to walk on, but once the morning exodus of those heading to work is over, you only have the occasional
vehicle to deal with. This
leaves the entire loop for you and your pooch to use for your daily walks. The
more laps you can get in, the better your walks
will be for both of you!
The ground here is quite level which, if you are taking your
walks in the Florida sun, could prove to be a good thing. Going up and down hills
in temperatures above the mid-70s can be more than the average pooch can handle.
Taking your walk before the morning rush hour starts is a great idea as the temperatures have not yet begun to climb.
How many greenways are there in Evergreen Estates?
Cocoa is a city with a minimal number of parks for you and your
dog to make use of. However, no matter which area you choose to take your dog to, be
sure you keep them on a short leash and carry plenty of waste bags with you to keep the greenways in this neighborhood clean!
The nearest dog park is Barks and Recreation on Pluckebaum
Road in the nearby Rockledge community. The park is very popular with dogs and dog owners alike
as there are separate areas for large and small breeds with water fountains to keep thirsty pups satisfied. Each section is very large
and has plenty of room for your pooch to run around in and make new friends. Please be kind and use the readily
available pet waste bags to clean up after your dog and do your part to keep the
park clean!
