Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site is a one mile stretch of beach that is sandwiched between Humbug Point and Hug Point. When the tide is out, you and your doggo can venture out and check out these headlands. If your pooch is feeling extra adventurous, continue a half mile north to Silver Point. Be careful and always know the tide schedule when wandering around this area.
The park’s beach is a woofderful spot for chillaxing. Spread out a blanket, sit back, and soak in the gorgeous scenery. You can also accompany your pup as they search for the pawfect piece of driftwood. Your pupster will love splashing in the waves and feeling the sea breeze rush through their fur. They can dig plenty of holes or just go for a mellow stroll along the surf. When the tide is out, there are furrific tide pools to the north and south of the main beach. Help your pup tread lightly so as not to disturb the delicate sea creatures. When it comes to having fun, the sky is the limit!
Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site has a pawsome picnic area. Pack a sandwich and dine al fresco with your furry friend. The company and views just can’t be beat! Don’t forget to bring a biscuit or two for your dog, and have enough water to share with your thirsty pup. There are restrooms on site for the humans in your clan, but be sure to always have a clean-up bag ready to pick up whatever your pup puts down.Â
Now while the beach does allow your pupper to romp and splash off leash, your dog should be good with voice commands. Always have your pup in sight, and keep a leash in hand ready if needed. Refrain from leashing your dog to any natural resources in the area too.
