Arcadia Beach is located in Tolovana Park, Oregon. This beach is dog-friendly and stretches over a mile. This beach is less congested than other beaches in the area, but it isn’t empty either. Dogs are allowed off-leash, so you may run into other pet parents and their pups. So, keep that in mind while making plans.
Home to tidepools and magnificent sandstone bluffs, Arcadia Beach is a great place to have a picnic, take a stroll, or have your next adventure. It is located between Hug Point and Humbug Point. Humbug Point is a beautiful forest area full of trees that come up against the beach. There are several other noteworthy places such as Lion Rock, Jockey Cap, and Silver Point. Though, many of these places are not accessible unless it’s low tide. So, keep that in mind and stay safe.
While the beach does allow dogs to be off leash, there are rules listed in the frequently asked questions on the beach’s website. You must always have a leash with you, you can’t tie your dog to any natural landmarks that could be damaged, and you must always be able to see your dog. Your dog must respond to your commands, and if a park official asks you to leash your dog, please oblige.
This also should be a given, but you are responsible to clean up after your dog. It is unknown if poop bags are available at this beach. So, it’s probably a good idea to bring a few of your own. It’s better to have too many bags than to run out and to have to improvise! Most importantly, have a great time making memories with your pooch.
Overall, this beach is less busy than some of the other beaches in the area and makes for a great place to enjoy the day with family and friends.
