Beachside State Recreation Site is located on the beautiful Oregon Coast and spans over 16 acres. The beach is a very popular hiking and camping destination, and your dog is allowed so long as they are kept on a leash.
This beach is located on the central coast of Oregon in a great location for visiting various sites off the beach. The beach itself is sandy and long and butts up against the beautiful campgrounds surrounded by trees. It’s a great place to take a stroll, fish, fly a kite, have a picnic, or even whale watch! The weather is unpredictable. So, be sure to be prepared, rain or shine.
As mentioned, your pooch is allowed - while leashed - on the beach. They must be on a leash that is six feet or less. You also must clean up after your dog. There’s nothing quite like stepping in a big pile of poop while trying to enjoy the beach. So bring bags and be prepared to scoop your pup’s poop.
Dogs are also allowed to walk leashed on the walking trails and to stay in the campgrounds. There is one yurt available for rent that is dog-friendly. Please consult the beach’s website or give the reservation office a call about rates and availability. It’s always good to be prepared for your pup’s needs. So, be sure to bring them food, water, and a bowl. You might also want to bring them a towel or a brush if they’ll be getting wet.
Next time you’re on the Central Coast of Oregon, consider visiting Beachside State Recreation Site, and take your pup along for the trip!
