Beverly Beach State Park

Dogs in Newport know the happening beach is at Beverly Beach State Park! This dog-friendly park offers a pupular beach area, campsite and hiking on the gorgeous Oregon coast. Best of all, your dog can play in the sun and sand off leash!

The beach at Beverly Beach State Park is long and sandy, and stretches from Yaquina Head to Otter Rock. A lighthouse near Yaquina Head is puptastic to check out. Your dog will love romping on this off leash beach, so long as they are good under voice command and are always within your sight. Get a splash in the Pacific Ocean, fly a kite, or just lay out and catch some rays. You can watch the surfers navigate the waters in the northern area, or take a stroll to the southern section to search for fossils. 

When your pup has had their fill of the sand, clip the leash back on and explore the rest of the park. A picnic area is furbulous for an outdoor meal or snack, while hiking trails beckon those seeking adventure in the trees. Make it a vacation and camp out in one of the many campsites or yurts on site. While there are no fees for the day use areas of the park, to stay overnight carries fees ranging from $8 to $78. Best of all, dogs are welcome in the campsites, and even in some of the yurts for an additional fee!

Well-behaved dogs can run free on the beach, but all dogs must remain on a leash no longer than six feet at all times in all other areas of the park. Bring all the essentials for a fun and safe day, including drinking water to share and clean-up bags, and always stoop and scoop.
