Bob Wentz Park Beach

Does your dog love swimming and going for walks along the water? If so, cheack out the beach located in the 211-acre Bob Wentz Park. Filled with amenities you and your dog will both love, this is the pawfect place to be! Pups are welcome on-leash in this park everywhere except for The Point.

Bob Wentz Park is located on beautiful Lake Travis, and there are plenty of fun water activities to do at this park. You and your pup can go for swims together in the lake, or you can splash around on the shoreline. Just be sure to keep your pup on-leash even when they’re in the water.

After your dog is finished swimming, you can relax on the park’s waterfront lawn and enjoys views of the water. This lawn is also the perfect place for a picnic with your pup! If you have a boat, Bob Wentz Park has a boat ramp you can use to launch into Lake Travis. You can also play a game of volleyball on one of the park’s two sand volleyball courts.

If your pup wants to stretch their legs, take them for a stroll on Bob Wentz Park’s waterfront path. This mostly flat path offers stunning views of Lake Travis. As you’re walking, you may get to see some of the park’s native birds, including wild turkeys, great blue herons, cardinals, blue jays, and flycatchers.

If your dog gets messy while they’re playing, showers are available. There are also water fountains you can use to fill your dog’s water bowl, but be sure to bring doggy bags with you to the beach.

Bob Wentz Park Beach is a beautiful lakeside beach that’s great for every water-loving dog. Be sure to clean up after your dog while you’re at the beach, and have a fun day out in the sun!
