You will not be able to take a shower but your dog can! There is a doggie shower station where you can hose the sand off your pooch. The dog shower stations were generously donated to the park by a private donor. The park is not supervised and does not have a lifeguard. You are responsible for yourself, your guests, and your dog. The park does not allow glass containers or alcoholic beverages. Bring supplies to clean up after your dog and deposit your doggie-doo bag in the trash containers that are provided.
This is an off-leash beach where you and your dog are free to romp in the water and play in the sand. There are no fences. There is plenty of room to run so make sure your dog will come when called. The water is described as calm and warm, flowing from the Gulf of Mexico. There is a sandbar where you can rest and enjoy your day in the sun with your furry friend.
Visitors report that the walk to the beach may involve some wading through water at high tide. Your dog will not mind splashing and playing in the water as you walk to and from the beach park, but you may want to pack accordingly.
Residents of Florida can also bring their fishing gear for no extra charge, but visitors will need to purchase a licence for their chance at a catch.
