Canine Beach

Canine Beach is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is a special dog part meant for dogs and their owners to have fun, roam in the sand, and play in the blue ocean. It is one of the only dog-specific beaches in the area, so expect to find lots of other dogs and their owners at the beach, particularly in the warm and sunny summer months. The dog beach is 100 yards. 

The beach has clean and soft sandy beaches and there is a lot of room for your dog to run around, although they should wear their leash when they are at the beach. You are required to have a permit to take your dog to this dog beach. You can purchase an annual permit or you can pay a one-time fee for access. There are not many shady areas, so keep this in mind during the summertime when the weather is hot and the sun is blazing. 

There are many places to walk around this area as well, such as the Riverwalk where you can walk your dog on a leash all day long without any restrictions. There are also some dog-friendly restaurants in the area to take your dog after a long and eventful evening at the beach. 

You will have access to poop bags at Canine Beach, so you do not have to bring your own. Always clean up after your dog to keep the dog beach clean and sanitary for other people and dogs at the beach. Your dog must be non-aggressive and friendly to all other dogs and humans at the beach or you will be escorted off. 

Overall, Canine Beach is a fantastic option for your dog if they love to go to the beach frequently. Between the clean beach and blue waters, you cannot go wrong with this wonderful Florida spot!
