Canova Dog Beach

Florida's Space Coast is known not only as the home of the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, but also a host of beautiful beaches. Unfortunately, most of those beaches aren't dog-friendly, and there's only one beach on the Space Coast that allows you to explore the sand with your furry friend - Canova Beach.

Located in Indiatlantic, the 9.1-acre Canova Beach Park offers a lovely stretch of sand where you and your pooch can get your paws wet. It's a popular spot for local dog lovers and their canine companions, so be prepared to come across plenty of other wagging tails whenever you visit.

While it's not the largest beach going around, Canova Beach still offers enough space for your dog to stretch their legs and play. There are three dune crossovers available, one of which is wheelchair accessible.

Other facilities on offer include a small pavilion, grill, picnic shelter, restrooms and a drinking fountain, while outdoor showers are also useful for washing off all that sand before hopping back in the car.

Please take note that if you're planning on visiting Canova Beach, your dog must remain on a leash at all times. Your pooch is also required to wear tags showing their current license and vaccinations.

As an owner, you'll need to show courtesy to other beach users and take care to clean up after your pet whenever necessary. Waste bags and trash receptacles are provided for this very purpose, so there's no excuse not to leave this beach looking neat and tidy.

It's a fun and relaxing spot where you and your pet can take a stroll, splash around in the shallows, and socialize with plenty of other dog lovers and their pets.
