Carolina Beach State Park
This woofderful beach is renowned as one of North Carolina's top fishing spots. If you were looking to get out on the water and try your hand at catching your own lunch, Carolina Beach State Park is the place for you! You can even rent a kayak at one of the local shops and hit the open waves with your best canine pal by your side. Just be sure to bring some Scooby snacks for Fido to enjoy, so he isn't tempted by your bait! While you're in the packing spirit, don't forget to include some bottled water and cleanup sacks too.
Just in case your fishing expedition is less than fruitful, you'll want to come prepared with a lunch. Carolina Beach State Park is the pawrfect place for a picnic. Your fave pooch is more than welcome to join you in all areas of Carolina Beach State Park; however, it is important to note that due to extremely high currents and some areas with steep drop offs, the lake is considered too dangerous for swimming by people or pooches. You may wade in, but you must be careful! Don't forget to bring a leash for your fave furry friend and keep him on it.
You can view some pawsitively amazing sights at Carolina Beach State Park. From the shores of the beach, you just might spot some dolphins frolicking in the waves. The area is also home to the world famous Venus Fly Trap. If you're lucky enough to find one, you'll want to capture it on film, for sure!
