This beach can be accessed at the end of many side streets that lead to the beach, and some have parking areas nearby too! Many feature walkovers through dunes and residential areas to get to the coastline. Try out Beach Access #1 off of New Inlet River Road that has a parking area, restrooms, and a walkover to the beach, or BA #39 also off New Inlet Road near the Jenkins Way Parking Lot. Beach Access #4 is at 484 New River Inlet Road with parking and restrooms. If you are staying in North Topsail, chances are walking access is just minutes away, so be sure to check the website for all the accesses and walkovers.Â
While your dog is allowed to dig in the sand and splash in the water, a few rules should be observed. Keep your pup leashed, and be sure to fill any holes they might dig. Bring clean-up bags, and pick up whatever your pup lays down. Water bottles and a bowl are a must for any beach adventure too! The dunes are a gorgeous feature of this beach, but be sure not to walk on them and help preserve this delicate ecosystem. The walkovers are provided to ensure there are areas to access the beach without touching the dunes, so be sure to stay on them. Sometimes the tide is high and comes all the way up to the dunes and the houses, so be sure to check on the best times for a visit.Â
For a puptastic beach adventure your pup won't soon furget, head to the beaches in the town of North Topsail Beach!
