The Town of North Topsail Beach is one of those wonderful coastline wonderlands that allows your dog to not only roam with their pawrents on the sand and surf, but roam leash free with their pawrents on the sand and in the surf. That's right - North Topsail Beach allows well-behaved, voice-controlled dogs to explore the salty seaside sans leash.
Unfortunately, this isn't a year-round agreement - your pup is required to be on a leash from May 15 through September 30 (the busy seaside season.) But, good news! They're leash requirements allow up to 20 feet of leash. That's a ton of extra freedom for your pup!
You and your pup can stroll through the sand, romp through the waves, take hikes, and even meet up with the hundreds of other daily beachgoing pooches and their pawrents as you enjoy the scenery of this Carolina beach wonderland. The only requirement? You pick up your pup's poop! This beach is quite serious when it comes to doggo waste, and they won't have an issue throwing you and your doggo out from your fun day if you don't clean up.
So, ensure that you're always prepared with a few doggo poop bags and be on the lookout for puppy waste! A clean beach is a happy beach!
