While dogs are always required to be leashed, during the busy season, Ocean Isle Beach asks that you either visit this North Carolina favorite before 9 am or after 6 pm in order to avoid the big crowds with your canine companion.
The best thing about this beach? The views of the dunes! You and your pooch can enjoy the scenery together from a distance, but the town of Ocean Isle Beach requests that you not walk on or near the dunes, as they're hoping to preserve the fragile dune vegetation. Failure to comply with this will result in a steep $100 fine.
The beach also asks that you and your doggo hang out only in the beach area - that means no taking your pup into the bathrooms, showers, or into the public access and parking areas. Most importantly, the pooper scooper ordinance is in effect and more important than ever. The beach asks that you ensure you and your four legged friend are prepared with pooper scooper bags and are always cleaning up doggo waste as you go. Refusal to do this might result in you and your pup getting kicked off the beach!
