Chic's Beach

Beach fans looking for your next great adventure, Chic's Beach awaits you! Also known as Chesapeake Beach, this pawsome sand beach on the sandy shores of the Chesapeake Bay near the bridge found its original purpose as a lookout point during the wartime. Today, it enjoys much pawpularity as a seaside vacation retreat that has been claimed by the locals who affectionately gave it the handle it bears with pride.

Your playful pup is welcome to join you for a splash in the clear blue waters of the bay or simply to dig his paws into the white sand. Just be sure to note that Chic's Beach does restrict pooch access to specific hours during the summer months. From the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend, dogs are permitted on the beach before 10 AM and after 6 PM only. They are also only allowed on the boardwalk from 6 AM to 10 AM. However, from Labor Day to Memorial Day, dogs are permitted on the beach and boardwalk at any time. Regardless of when you visit, always keep your dog leashed at all times. 

The bay waters are both crisp and calm, making them the ideal spot for you and your pooch to practice your best doggy paddle. Though there are no seashells to be found on the white sand shores, you might still find a treasure or two to take home as a souvenir! Chic's Beach is home to some furrific scenery that makes it the pawrfect location for some family photos with Fido featured front and center. If you're exceptionally lucky, you might even catch a shot of dolphins swimming in the bay!

Since food is not available for sale at Chic's Beach, you won't want to forget your beach bag full of snacks and drinking water too! Don't forget to bring along some cleanup bags as you will need them.
