Claybanks Township Park

As long as your dog isn’t a Pit Bull (or any Pit Bull mix), you can bring your canine to this amazing on-leash park. You and your canine friend can enjoy the beach and park that’s spread across 90 acres. From the refreshing dip in Lake Michigan’s blue water to a cozy campfire, Claybanks Township Park has it all.

The picnic and beach areas are free. The daily rates of non-electric and electric campsites are $15 and $20, respectively. On holidays, there’s an extra $5 charge. Pavilions go for $25 per day. So, the park has space and facilities to make your time here really memorable! Every campsite has its own fire pit and picnic table. A parking lot is available and so are public restrooms (pit toilets). There is also carry-in boat access. Just remember that you will need to carry the boat down a flight of stairs!

Your dog will enjoy running around the ample space here while you will also appreciate the scenic beauty of the area as you go. The fantastic 2700 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline at this park is a motivation in itself for dog-walkers and runners!

This is an alcohol-free park. While you won’t be packing any booze, make sure to pack poop bags for your dog. There are also some nice attractions near Claybanks Township Park. These include Silver Lake, Lewis Farm Market & Petting Farm, and Country Dairy. The sign for this park is visible from the road.
