Crissy Field East Beach

East Beach in Crissy Field Park is an epic destination to enjoy the ocean with your canine companion, fog or shine. Visitors flock here to enjoy the stunning views across San Fransisco Bay of the Golden Gate Bridge. Some other beloved sights from the beach include the Marin Headlands, Angel Island and Alcatraz Island. This family friendly beach is wide and safe for swimming, and welcomes the family dog to scamper alongside you. 

There is plenty of free parking right near the beach, where you'll also find restrooms and changing rooms. Some other amenities include a cafe where you can pick up some snacks for the afternoon, picnic tables, historic buildings and a fishing pier. Crissy Field's East Beach has everything you need for a furtastic time, just be sure to bring your pups favorite stick to throw in the water! 

Probably the best part of East Beach is that pups are allowed to frolic in the sand in glorious off-leash freedom. This beach is not only pawpular among the pups, but it's one of the best places to kite surf in the world thanks to the thermal winds and storm fronts that roll through the area. With the great scenery and the acrobatic kite surfers, don't forget to keep an eye on your dog! To continue the adventure, take a stroll along the Golden Gate Promenade. This wide path continues all the way to the Golden Gate bridge. Along your travels you'll see joggers, cyclists, other dog walkers, and possibly some wildlife in Crissy Marsh. 

No leashes are necessary on the beach, as long as your pupper stays under voice control. Pet parents are asked to keep their pals leashed in other areas of Crissy Field Park, and check the signage. Be sure to bring clean up bags and pick up after your pup! also bring any other necessities, such as water to share.
