To reach West Bluff Beach, take Old Mason Road west past the main park entrance down to the end where there are parking spaces on both sides of the road. Here you can unload your doggo from the car, and let the adventures begin! This is also where you'll find the Warming Hut bookstore and cafe, and restrooms.Â
One of the main features of this beach is the expansive grassy picnic area. This area has limited shade, so make sure you wear sunscreen on a hot day! Barbecues and ocean views included. Doggos are welcome to romp around and play on the beach. While you kick back on the beach and enjoy the views, Fido can have the time of his life roughhousing in the sand and rinsing off in the water. After some time in the sun and surf, you can make use of the Golden Gate Promenade, a multi-use path that's very pawpular among bikers, joggers, and dog walkers. Some of the other amenities found at Crissy Field West Bluff Beach include a climbing gym, a pier, historical sights, and a bike shop.Â
Canine companions are welcome off-leash in certain areas along the beach and the large grassy landing field, as long as they stay under strict voice control. In all other areas they should stay leashed, and they should always be picked up after. Be sure to check the signage to avoid getting a fine. Note that dogs are not allowed within the fenced restoration zones or the lagoon area. Be sure to bring clean up bags, and water to share!
Crissy Field West Buff Beach will have your pup leaping for joy!Â
