Dog Friendly Beach at Spanish River Park

Looking for a local place to have fun in the sun with your pooch? Bark Park Dog Beach at Spanish River Park could be your perfect solution! The dog park is aimed towards locals who live on campus in Boca Raton; however, it is open to non-residents for a higher fee. Should you be a resident, you can obtain a yearly permit good from October 1 - September 30 for $31 per dog by submitting a proof of residency (a utility bill, insurance bill, lease, or other proof of payment). If you aren't a city resident, you can purchase a yearly permit for $165 or purchase a weekly weekend pass for $11. The permit you obtain must be present on your person at all times within the dog beach. 

There is a limit of two dogs per person and although dogs are allowed off-leash, owners must have control over their pooch at all times. In other words, your pup must respond well to voice commands and get along well with the other dogs at the park if they are off-leash. The City of Boca Raton has the right to refuse or kick out any dog for health or safety reasons. On the way into and out of the dog park, Fido must be leashed, and when inside the designated beach, your pup cannot dig in the sand. Owners are also responsible for bringing bags to dispose of their canines' waste in an appropriate manner to help keep the area enjoyable to others. 

Natural shade is not prevalent throughout the shoreline; therefore, please bring appropriate shade for your furry friend to take a break out of the hot sunshine. 

It may be a little pricey, but patrons have raved about the cleanliness, location, and company of dogs and humans alike that frequent the Bark Beach. Grab your doggo for a fun weekend in the water!
