Elm's Beach Park

The Chesapeake Bay is North America's largest estuary, making it a beautiful and fascinating region to explore with your furry friend. And at Elm's Beach Park, located in Maryland, you can do exactly that.

This 476-acre park is one of many gorgeous patches of green in this part of the world, but the thing that sets it apart from many others is that you can enjoy it with your dog all year round. Leashed dogs are allowed in the park all year round, and with easy access to 500-odd feet of beautiful beachfront, it's well worth exploring with your canine companion in tow.

If you want to take in some breathtaking vistas of Chesapeake Bay, this is the park for you. Your pet will also love taking a stroll along the sand with you and experiencing all the interesting sights, sounds, and smells that only a trip to the beach can offer.

You can also take a dip in the cool waters, go for a hike through the park, or sit down to enjoy a picnic in the sun with your furry friend. Make sure your pet stays on the leash at all times, and also remember to clean up after your dog so that the beach is kept in pristine condition.

Elm's Beach Park is open all year round, but keep in mind that the gates are shut during winter. Pedestrian access is still available — just park at the gate and walk in — but you'll need to be prepared for a 10-minute hike to get to the beach.

Entry fees apply on weekends and holidays from May 5 to September 3, and there are daily and season passes available. Daily passes are $6 per vehicle for county residents and $12 per vehicle for out-of-county residents. But if you want to have some fun in the sun with your dog and take in some beautiful water views at the same time, it's well worth it.
