Emerald Isle Beach

Emerald Isle Beach is located in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. Emerald Ise features a whopping 12 miles of some of the most stunning shoreline in the country. Soft, sandy beaches and clear, blue waters draw massive crowds to these beaches, so be prepared to be around many other people and dogs during the summer months. However, even though there will be people on the beach, it never feels overly crowded or like there is no space to move and run around. This beach does not get crowded like the beaches in New Jersey, Virginia Beach, and the like. 

Dogs are allowed on Emerald Isle Beach all year long, as long as they wear their leash at all times when they are on the beach and in the ocean or the bay. 

The actual beach has clean restrooms and an outdoor shower near the entrance of the beach so you can wash off the sand and saltwater from the ocean when you are about to head home for the day. There is also plenty of parking in a large parking lot near the beach, and the beach is handicap accessible as well. At the entrance, there is a covered picnic area with picnic tables and benches if you would like to eat your meals and snacks away from the sand and in the shade. Shade on the beach is sparse due to a lack of trees. 

You will have access to a poop bag station and a garbage can when you walk onto the beach, which makes it convenient for cleaning up after your dog. Always make sure to clean up after your pooch does their business, so this stunning beach stays as clean and sanitary for other beachgoers as possible. 

Overall, Emerald Isle Beach is an excellent option if you want soft sand, wide beaches, and tons of shoreline to let your dog roam and play in. With enough amenities to keep everyone happy, but not an overly developed feel, this beach is peaceful, relaxing, and fun!
