This pawsome public beach property offers miles and miles of sandy shoreline where Fido and his family can stroll at their leisure along the banks of Lake Michigan. A set of stairs leads from the parking lot down onto the beach itself, and here, there are lots of great amenities for families to enjoy with their best canine pal in tow. Fido is welcome to join you in both Lake Michigan's crisp waters and for a walk along the coast, but be sure to keep the local paw-lice happy by keeping him on his leash. 

Hagar Beach has lots of bench-style seating scattered throughout the grounds, so you can take a load off your weary feet after a long walk with your favorite furry companion. Picnicking is also a favorite activity at this beach. Why not pack a lunch to enjoy at one of Hagar Beach's pawsome picnic areas? Don't forget to pack bottled water and a snack for Fido too since water is not provided here. Bathrooms are available on the premises for use by the public. There is also a playground where kids can enjoy an afternoon of fun.

Lake Michigan is the ideal spot for an afternoon of salmon fishing. Its shallow waters are a haven for pooches and their people just learning to swim! Hagar Beach offers lots of shade from its many trees.

Clean up bags are provided at Hagar Beach, and you are asked to use them to dispose of all canine waste. Since it is important to be sure that your favorite pooch is safe from not-so-fur-iendly disease, be sure to pay a visit to your favorite dog-tor to make sure that Fido is up to date on all of his shots.
