This nature preserve features 26 acres of leafy green forest and wildlife. The park is situated on Johnson Road, and you should be able to find plenty of free street parking in the area. If possible, why not walk here, or add it to your route for your morning walk with Fifi? Once you arrive and begin your adventures, you'll find a great nature trail that follows along the South Fork Peach Tree Creek. After working up a sweat on the trails, your pal can take a splash in the sandy creek, and romp around with other puppers.Â
Most pet-parents choose to let their pups run leash free here, but being that Herbert Taylor Park is not a designated dog park, the City of Atlanta mandates that dogs should remain on leash.Â
This park has limited amenities, and the pathways can get muddy. Be sure to bring a towel for your car to avoid muddy paw prints on the upholstery. You'll need to bring along some water, and doggy waste bags and be sure that your pup is always picked up after. This is a nature preserve, so please make sure you and your pal respect the wildlife and follow Leave No Trace principles.Â
With pawsome room to roam and a furtastic creekside beach, Herbert Taylor Park will have your doggo leaping for joy!Â
