While the main beach itself is not dog-friendly, there are plenty of different areas to check out with your pup at this park, along with a dog-friendly beach area. There is an area right across from the Lake Macatawa Campground that allows your furry friend to relax and enjoy the water. You must keep your fluffy best friend on a leash at all times, in and out of the lake.Â
When bringing your dog to the area, keep in mind that you need to bring your own bags for cleanup. There are numerous trash cans located around the area with signs. This beach and campground do have restrooms available for your convenience if needed, but just remember you will need to keep your pup somewhere while you are gone. In the park, there are also concession stands located on Lake Michigan if you find yourself needing a treat sometime during your visit.Â
The park is actually connected to two different campgrounds that have spaces available to rent. When you rent out a space, the cost can go from $33 all the way up to $65 depending on the season you go during and what kind of camping you are looking to do. Your canine companion is allowed to come with you if you do decide to go camping. The campgrounds do have electrical hookups and have sanitation stations nearby.Â
There is also a playground if you have any little ones joining you. The hours do vary somewhat between seasons, so go online to their website to stay updated! There are plenty of amenities to enjoy at Holland State Park, so be sure to check this out. Your pup will thank you.Â
