Horsfall Beach

Horsfall Beach is located in Oregon and is part of the Siuslaw National Forest. It is a large beach that sits right on the Pacific Ocean and is surrounded by a whopping 47 miles of sand dunes that sit 500-feet above sea level, making it is truly a sight to behold! This is a popular area for people to spend a day at the beach and take their dog on a walk since the beach is dog-friendly all year round. However, the beach is large so it never feels stuffed with people and provides plenty of room to let your dog walk and explore. 

The beach is surrounded by forest as well, so there are opportunities for walking and hiking on the trails throughout the forest. There is not much shade directly on the beach, but you will find lots of shade from the tree coverage in and near the forest areas. When you are down on the beach, you will have access to flushing toilets in the restroom, a picnic area for having your yummy beach food, and fresh drinking water to keep you and your dog hydrated for your beach adventure. However, you have to go up to the campsite to take advantage of these amenities. 

There is no guarantee you will find poop bags at the beach, so make sure to bring your own to clean up after your dog. You can discard the poop bags in one of the trash cans near the beach to keep the beach clean and sanitary for all of the other beachgoers. You should keep your dog on a leash, as well, since horses are allowed to walk on the beach.

Overall, Horsfall Beach is a great location to take your dog for swimming, splashing around, and playing in the sand. With its soft, sandy beaches and beautifil blue ocean, you cannot go wrong!
