Enjoy the sand, the surf, and the happy-dog-environment as you and your pup run free and wild together under the sun. There are plenty of picnic tables, grills, a playground, restroom facilities, ample parking, and of course, those panoramic Lake Michigan views you came to the park in the first place for. Your pup is permitted off-leash once you're in the designated doggo area, but until you get there, keep your canine companion on a leash that's, at max, ten feet long.Â
Remember that dogs are not allowed in the restrooms, playground areas, or picnic shelters, so keep your doggo romping strictly in the pup-play-area. Don't forget to clean up after your dog and dispose of their waste in appropriate receptacles - the last thing a beach-goer or sunbather wants is to step in a squishy surprise while they're trying to enjoy the lake's glorious views.Â
You and your pooch can enjoy this park year round, but mind the special hours that change every October and every March. Remember, there are no lifeguards at this park, so you and your pup will have to swim in the refreshing water at your own risk. There are lots of trails for you and your doggo to explore at this park, too! Expect lots of sun for you and your dog as there aren't too many shaded areas your pup can enjoy with you at this park. Daily fees might apply to enjoy this park.
