You will love how vast and open this beach is - it feels like you can see on forever into the ocean and surrounding area. San dunes and beach grasses make this a picture-perfect location, and it opens up into the clean, sandy beach and the wavy, blue ocean you know and love.
Picnic tables are dotted throughout the beach in private cul-de-sacs that have shores pines around the tables to shield you from the wind off the beach and ocean. There are restrooms on site as well, but no other specialized facilities. This is indeed just a beach for talking the morning, evening, or full day soaking up the sun, taking long strolls on the beach with your dog, and taking a dip in the ocean. It is a no-frills beach experience through and through.
Your dog should stay on a leash when you are at this beach, although it is not a requirement in the state. If your dog is not on a leash, you must still have a leash in your hand and it is imperative your dog is responsive to your commands and is non-aggressive. There are no doggie bags at this location, so please bring your own so you can clean up after your dog goes to the bathroom. Garbage cans are found in the restroom area on the beach.
Overall, this is a spacious and open beach that is perfect to spend some time with your dog, running, walking, and playing in the ocean. It is quieter than many other Oregon beaches, making it a great place to relax and catch a sunset on a summer evening.
